iM09 would add black, so we add black (yellow line just for demoing actual shape of pic. In my app, the checkerboard means: no content, transparent. Change that to a horizontal-orientated size, keep the aspect ratio in mind, 16:9. Pxelmator allows me to change the size of the socalled Canvas.

I'm using Pixelmator, for sure you can use ANY other pic-processor, even abuse tools like Keynote. ! To solve this prob, you have to change your portrait-sized pic into a landscape-shaped pic. You can make it fit - means, the highth is max, therefor black bars l/r, but NO Ken Burns effect. 👉 To change the speed of Ken Burns, change your photo duration. In iM09 you stumble into a problem when using vertical/'portrait' sized stils: 👉 To remove the effect, on the timeline, select the clip: it becomes blue > tap Animate from the editing toolbar > tap on the blue ball under the timeline. To choose the point where you want the effect to end, tap End frame and position the clip on the main preview screen. On the preview screen (the main one at the top), position the photo as preferred using the pinching gesture (you can zoom in/ zoom out/ move in any direction). To choose the point where you want the effect to start > tap Start frame. As you tap on Enable Ken Burns, you'll see Start frame and End frame.👉 To change the Start and End frame, follow these steps: To apply this change to all clips, tap on the button with the two blue ticks that appear in the bottom-right corner > tap Apply to all Tap on Enable Ken Burns: it becomes blue.Tap on Animate from the editing toolbar. On the timeline, select the clip you wish to animate: it becomes blue.

👉 To apply the Ken Burns effect, follow these steps: With the Ken Burns effect, you can create motion from static images or show a video from different angles.
